Blue, pink and beige madras cotton dress. This fabric is no longer woven with banana fiber like the first madras. We have used soft cotton, much more resistant, to make this simple and light dress, although fully lined. We love the yellow flowers between the two lines of hand-embroidered smocks that form a frill at the edge of the square neckline, the elasticated flyaway sleeves on the shoulders, and the large gathered flounce hemmed with purple satin stitch that finishes the bottom. It falls below the knees and natural mother-of-pearl buttons close the back opening. This dress makes every girl look elegant without ostentation, every day and for every occasion
